Hello! We’re interested in larger breeds, or breeds with a soft coat, with low grooming needs. Brushing is fine but shaving often isn’t. No wire hair breeds. No breeds like dobermans or bull breeds, as our trainer said they’re harder to get comfortable with the job. And nothing too small, the other dogs in the house are big already. For a young adult with autism. We’re look for a pup by the end of the year, ideally to connect with someone who has a litter planned vs one born, so we can meet the parents and talk with the breeder. Breeds like golden retriever, labradors, or a mix of the two. Newfoundlands or Saint Bernards (or a mix of the two). And any other similarly easy going and happy family companion breeds. We’re active and outdoorsy, and a dog familiar family.
