Description
CLINTON, CT – Nest Egg Auctions will sell the entire contents of a Connecticut Shoreline Antiques shop on May 22 at 11:00 a.m., according to a statement.
The complete collection of the "Picking Pot Thriftique Store" located at 301 East Main St. in Clinton will be sold at online auction.
"This is the largest single lot we have ever offered," auctioneer Ryan Brechlin said in a statement.
Originally scheduled as a live event, the auction will now be conducted online through the Nest Egg Auction website.
"We had planned to hold a live auction onsite earlier this spring, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic we had to pivot. We are now offering this unique opportunity for online-only bidding," Brechlin said.
The shop has been in this location for more than seven years and has accumulated a large inventory. The collection will be sold in one lot to the highest bidder at absolute auction.
The group includes the contents of a nearly 4,000-square-foot building, and a half acre of garden decorations, architectural salvage, indoor and outdoor furniture, signs, store displays, and a good collection of tools.
Some standout items include a collection of concrete garden urns and statues, furniture restoration supplies, and a Ford F-250 pickup truck.
"This is an incredible opportunity for the right buyer," said Brechlin. "You don't get the chance to buy an entire shop very often!"
The auction will take place online on the Nest Egg Auctions website and the bidding will close at 11:00 a.m. on May 22. Special terms apply for interested buyers.
