We are looking for part-time Porters to perform light maintenance and/or housekeeping tasks at an assigned apartment community. This position will cover the day shift, rotating 4 to 5 days a week within our hours of operations: Monday to Sunday 7am - 3pm (Up to 25-30 hours a week). Pay is $15 per hour and we also offer a mileage reimbursement program. Duties include: • Maintain lobby and common areas cleanliness such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, polishing stainless steel, straightening of furniture, removal of waste. • Remove trash and replace liners in public trash cans (common area cans). • Perform general maintenance tasks such as blowing out of breezeways, pressure washing, removal of cobwebs dusting of handrails, cleaning of light fixtures, removal of pet waste, non-organic waste and other debris from the grounds, grassy areas, parking lots and walkways in a commercial multifamily environment. • Removal of furniture, trash, and other household items from vacated apartments. • Cleaning and running of compactors, picking up loose, bagged trash, debris from around the compactor area or chute room. • Grill and appliance cleaning. • Other duties as assigned. Benefits: • Tuition reimbursement • Referral bonus program • Associate discount programs • Associate and family assistance program • Rewards and recognition program Qualifications: • Must be able to keep up with the physical demands of being on your feet and walking for much of the day • Must have excellent knowledge on how to use cleaning supplies and cleaning techniques for all areas of the home • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds • Ability to take direction, be reliable, work productively on one’s own and adhere to a schedule • Own an iPhone with IOS 9 or newer or Android 6 or newer and comfortable with downloading and using mobile apps • 2+ years’ experience in cleaning rooms or homes • Experience as a room attendant in a hotel is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
