This is Bernie. He was born on July 7, 2019 and has been with our family since he was eight weeks old. We purchased him as a St. Bernard/Pyrenees mix, and hoped he would integrate with our herd of Miniature Nigerian Dwarfs. Unfortunately, Bernie loves to goats a little too much, and no matter what we have tried he continues to chase them to exhaustion. He has now learned to do the most graceful swan dive through the upper opening of the fence to get to them, and we have run out of feasable options to keep him out of the pasture. As much as we love Bernie, we don't feel it is fair to limit his freedom due to our circumstances. Bernie is approximately 70 pounds. He is extremely sweet and LOVES to please. He is intelligent, cuddly, and knows basic commands. He gets along with people and all other dogs (including our 5 pound shipoo). He is very gentle with children and plays nice with other dogs. He does great walking on a leash, and is a great running partner. He is the perfect family/companion dog. We are heartbroken to see him go, and require that he goes to a good loving home. Bernie is not housebroken and needs room to run. (The last photo is Bernie as a puppy). We are willing to negotiate on the price for the right family.
