Description
We are looking for a seasoned Bass player to join our musicians in our wedding/corporate band. We perform party music, funk, Motown, rock, country, pop and everything in between. Idea is to pull from a large song list to match different audiences. We have been in a rebuilding stage due to COVID and loosing some musicians. We are now fully staffed but need a bass player. We are seasoned and professional and all have been performing for many years. Our drummer is a business man and our band's business manager and takes care of most of our sales, media/video communications, bookings etc. Nice to have. Our target fee for gigs is around $4k-$5k. Focus is to get people out of their seats and on the floor. We practice in Alpharetta. We plan to rehearse twice per month up until our next gig which is booked for late June. Then we will shorten the practice schedule as needed. We value time at home and individual preparation.
We have drums (digital), a lead guitarist, keyboardist and two fantastic female singers and a lead male singer/guitarist: one female concentrates on our Motown/R&B/Disco genres. The other female covers everything else. We all sing backups. Vocals are not necessary but a nice plus! We are all focused on harmonies and we all sound really good together. We have a very nice PA and sound engineer, all accessories and elevated stage.
We have had trouble finding a bassist. Most are only interested in playing one genre, mostly rock so it has been tough locating a bass player. You would certainly get your fill of R&B, country, funk, rock, pop and soul and you would love the other musicians. We are a great team.
Note: We are not looking for "Bass for Hire" for gigs only. We are looking for a team player that could make group rehearsals when necessary and contribute to shaping our sound in the near term.
