WESTBROOK, CT — A tree fell on a home Sunday on Church Hill Lane in Westbrook. A storm pummeled the state over the weekend with heavy winds and rain, downing trees and power lines. The American Red Cross was helping two families– five adults, no children – after the tree fell on the home. The Red Cross was also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items the residents might need. Those affected will connect with Red Cross caseworkers in the coming days to work on a longer-term recovery plan.
