Please join the Dobbs Ferry Conservation Advisory Board remove invasive bushes from our Village's largest park, the Juhring Nature Preserve!
The Dobbs Ferry Conservation Advisory Board (CAB) is pleased to announce that we will be following up on our popular 2021 & 2022 long-term invasive plant removal projects in our Village's largest park, the Juhring Nature Preserve, with another Spring 2022 event in April (Earth Month 2022!), focusing on removing Japanese Barberry bushes.
This event will be Sunday, April 24th from 10AM to 12PM.
Please bring your own shovels and/or pruning shears if you have them (although the CAB will have some extra tools available).
Please wear work gloves, long sleeved shirts, long pants and bug spray to help protect yourselves while you work.
We will meet up at the Juhring Preserve entrance at the corner of Briary Road and Heather Way (opposite 90 Briary Road) in Dobbs Ferry and we will work about 100 yards up the trail from that entrance.
It is recommended (but not required) to bring and wear a protective face mask for times when social distancing cannot be maintained outdoors.
