Get started with micro python on the Pi Pico! Get your own Pi Pico and accessories used in workshop! The Pi Pico is a microcontroller from the raspberry pi foundation. It's cheap, fast, and very versatile. It was designed to be micropython friendly, with features built in to solve several common problems embedded python has. It's the swiss army knife of talking to other things. Topics covered: Downloading Thonny Connection to your Pico Run a sketch Save/load files to pico Blink an LED Turn an LED off and on with a button Use a 1” OLED display Use a neopixel ring At the end, all of the above will be combined to make a reaction game. Participents will keep the pico, breadboard, button, and screen to make their own creations at home!
