LAUREL, MD — Homicide detectives from the Prince George's County Police Department confirmed two suspects have been identified and charged in connection with the fatal shooting last month of a Laurel woman, according to a police release. PGPD identified the deceased victim as 24-year-old Briah Jackson. On April 27, round 5:35 p.m., officers responded to a local hospital for the report of two walk-in shooting victims. Police learned that Jackson and the second victim, an adult male, had been shot as they were sitting in a vehicle in 8200 block of Gorman Avenue in Laurel. Jackson died from her injuries the next day. The second victim's injuries were not considered to be life-threatening. Following an investigation, PGPD identified two suspects in connection with Jackson's homicide: Elijah Davis, 24, of the 7000 block of Hanover Parkway in Greenbelt; and Marcus Hurd, 19, of the 7000 block of Old Alexandria Ferry Road in Clinton. Davis faces first and second degree murder and additional charges, and is being held without bond by the Department of Corrections.
