Friday Goodman opens a restaurant during Easter, but on the day of the Grand Opening, the only visitor to arrive isn't on the guest list.
Friday Goodman has just retired from a steel factory, with no big plans for retirement, until he decides to open a restaurant. And there's a prime piece of real estate that comes at a price that is too good to be true. There's only one catch; there's a cross that hangs on the wall but it can't be taken down; it's all a part of the purchase. Using some of his retirement, and some help from a trust fund he shares with his sister Betty Jean, Friday decides to buy it, convincing his wife Joy, a devout church woman, that it's the best moves for their lives. But Friday isn't very religious, so it doesn't bother him to have a grand opening for Easter; for him the cross is the perfect marketing tool. When Friday decides to go through with his plans, against his wife's wishes, the troubles start.
From GSW Network, GOOD FRIDAY is a unique stage presentation that delivers a powerful message of redemption and grace, and reminds us that in the Kingdom of God, who can always use us--in spite of ourselves--to accomplish a greater purpose.
