Abundant Housing LA is collaborating with James Rojas to bring his iconic Dream, Play, Build workshop to South East Los Angeles! James Rojas is an urban planner, activist, and artist. He researched and lectured extensively about Latino Urbanism, and is the founder of Place It!, a design- and participation-based urban planning practice. James engages people in urban planning, transportation, design, landscape, and neighborhood change through their hands and senses so that they can be creative and expansive in their thinking, and offer up real solutions to the challenges facing our cities and neighborhoods. A house is not a house. It's part of community cultural production. Housing abundance looks different in different places. Attend this workshop to explore the role of housing in shaping your community, and imagine what housing abundance could look like for your neighborhood.
