Troop 766 1st Class Orienteering #4a 2022 This is for Scouts in Troop 766 only! I will be offering the 1st Class Orienteering Course at my house (345 N 18th Ave, Hiawatha).  This is typically a tough requirement to get done.  All Scouts that don't have their 1st Class rank can sign-up.  I’m only offering this to 6 Scouts per session.  I need parents to stay and help! Details: 1)  Bring a compass (like the one pictured below) - if you have one.  I do have extras, so no need to buy a compass. 2) Your Scout Book so I can sign off the requirement when complete. 3) Please wear a Class B t-shirt/sweatshirt (if you have one). Requirement #4a: Using a map and compass, complete an orienteering course that covers at least one mile and requires measuring the height and/ or width of designated items (tree, tower, canyon, ditch, etc.).
