Robert Jones and Matt Watroba hosted back-to-back radio shows on WDET-FM in Detroit, over 20 years ago. They got to know each other and began performing together. Rev. Jones and Matt Watroba developed a friendship based on mutual respect and their love for traditional American music. Common Chords is about friendship and American Roots Music. It’s music that matters and reflects history, social change, migration, hopes and dreams. Music that is rich, diverse direct and powerful. The music that brings people together.This concert is being held in Statesville Friends Chapel /Old Trinity Episcopal Church, was built in 1872 and is one of Statesville's most beautiful historic buildings. The stained glass, vaulted ceiling and original pews make this an amazing place to hear music.
