Celebrate Earth Day with us at the Upper Newport Bay! Newport Bay Conservancy in partnership with OC Parks host EARTH DAY AT THE BAYFree parking, free admission Bring some cash for food trucks Post a FLYER at school, work, or local community board. We are excited to welcome you back to the Upper Newport Bay for the return of our annual Earth Day Celebration! Join us for a free family-friendly day full of hands-on arts and crafts, educational activities, and science discovery. Enjoy live music as you explore our Adventure Partners’ booths, take a break for a tasty treat at one of the food trucks, and don’t forget to complete the scavenger hunt for prizes and giveaways! We hope to see you there! The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970 activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life to share their concerns about each citizen’s critical role in the environment. Their actions led to the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts. Now over one billion people in 192 countries participate in Earth Day activities, making it the largest civic observance in the world. FAQs Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? No - all ages are encouraged.  What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? There is free parking in the dirt lot at the intersection of Irvine Avenue & University Drive and at the end of the cul-de-sac on University Drive. Bike racks available. Walk on over :~) What can/can't I bring to the event? Bring your sense of adventure, become a kid again. There will be food trucks on site to purchase food, picnic area.
