KENSINGTON, MD — Authorities are asking the public's help in identifying a man they believe committed nearly four dozen burglaries in a single night. Montgomery County police say 47 units at a self-storage facility in Kensington were burglarized on Dec. 2. The facility at 4950 Nicholson Court, police added, was raided in a little over an hour. The suspect snuck into the Extra Space Storage facility around 9:40 a.m. by following a vehicle that was authorized to enter through the security gate, police said. The suspect then broke the gate, so it would remain open during the alleged spree. He was caught on surveillance video leaving the premises in a white sedan at approximately 10:52 p.m., police said. According to authorities, the man broke the locks to 47 self-storage units and stole property, including a bicycle. He also reportedly rummaged through two vehicles. Police did not disclose how much the suspected burglar stole, and their value.
