Learn the basics of using heat, hammer, and anvil to form metal into beautiful and useful objects. In this class, you will be introduced to fundamental blacksmith skills including tapering, bending, cutting, twisting, dishing, and planishing while making small projects, such as spoons, forks, bottle openers, and hooks. This introductory techniques class is offered as a 2-day intensive with two 7.5-hour sessions. There is also a five-week class offered. See class listings for available dates.

What should I wear or bring to the class?
Please wear work boots or shoes made from leather or canvas (no nylon, it melts!). Wear natural fiber clothing (cotton is best). Safety glasses are required and will be provided, but if you have a pair you're comfortable in, consider bringing your own.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This workshop is only for those 13+. (Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
