KENSINGTON, MD — Protesters on Friday marched to the Kensington home of the cyclist who was caught on video this month accosting three teens on the Capital Crescent Trail, according to a Bethesda Beat. Anthony Brennan III, 60, was charged with three counts of second-degree assault after one of the victims published a video of the incident online. In an interview with Patch, the 18-year-old male victim — who wished to remain anonymous — said he and his two female friends were posting flyers in support of George Floyd when they were confronted by the cyclist. In the now-viral video, the man can be seen trying to yank a roll of tape off a woman's arm before using his bicycle to charge at the man who is filming. On Friday, more than a dozen protesters walked to Brennan's house and held up signs that read, "Black Lives Matter" and "Stop Racism Now," according to Bethesda Beat. Some demonstrators chalked up the sidewalk near his home with similar messages. Days before the protest, Brennan issued an apology through a statement from his attorneys, saying he is "sick with remorse for the pain and fear" he caused the victims. The cyclist also said he will seek professional help for his "abhorrent behavior."
