GSD/Malamute looking for active owner

Patience is a strikingly handsome 16 month old GSD/MALAMUTE mix. He is very loyal and loves to be out in the woods hiking. He has mostly been great with kids, but he did bite one of my kids when they tried to take his bone. He knows many commands but follows them inconsistently. He is marking indoors,and he is actively trying to break through the fence in our back yard. I know that neutering might solve some of these problems, but I think the bigger issue is that he is a high energy working dog, and I am not able to give him what he needs. He needs constant exercise. Ideally he needs a job. He would be a great dog for an avid fishermen, or someone that works in the woods. He has gotten better walking on a leash, but he still needs a lot of work. I would consider rehoming him with no fee *for the right person*.
