Sadie is a sweet 2.5 year old brindle Whippet/love bug mix. Yep, that’s her smiling in all the pics. She was living in the woods near a convalescent home which was under construction. Scared and unsure, at first Sadie kept her distance from the jobsite; but as the days waned into weeks and the hunger overpowered the fear, Sadie began to approach the facility and hang around to scrap through the garbage for left over lunches of the construction crew. Some of the workers on site took pity on Sadie and began to feed her. As the months continued, Sadie grew more comfortable and confident of her benefactors. She began hanging around all day and even letting some of the guys approach her. As construction was wrapping up, the crew began to worry about Sadie, as no one would be around to look after her when the job finished. So a few guys found a rescue organization and asked if the rescue could capture Sadie and put her in a foster program. Blue Waters Rescue did just that. Since then, Sadie has really blossomed into a happy go lucky pup! Enjoying her best life at her foster’s with her 4 legged friends. Sadie does wonderful with other dogs but is timid and anxious around new people. She will need time and handling to get comfortable with strangers. A home with dogs but without kids would be best. Sadie is about 40lbs, spayed, vaccinated, and up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. She has no known allergies or health conditions. Sadie is house trained, leash trained, knows basic commands and loves her car rides! She will be the best copilot on your road trips to everywhere! Just don’t forget to pack the pup! Home checks are required. Please do not contact if you are not willing to allow a home visit. Rehoming fee applies.
