PALM DESERT, CA — Fire Sunday damaged a single-story home in Palm Desert, leaving one person and five dogs temporarily displaced, authorities said. Firefighters dispatched at 5:27 a.m. to the 44300 block of Lingo Lane had the blaze contained about 7:15 a.m., the Riverside County Fire Department reported. No injuries were reported and "resources will be committed several hours for overhaul," officials said. — City News Service
