RAMSEY, NJ — Chick-fil-A is opening its newest Bergen County location in Ramsey Thursday. Ray Cowan is the franchise's owner and oversee a 95 employees. He started working for Chick-fil-A when he was 16. He earned a Leadership Scholarship from Chick-fil-A, which he used to earn a degree from Liberty University. Cowan was a general manager with Chick-fil-A for eight years. He was accepted into the company's leadership development program and traveled the United States to help open and manage Chick-fil-A restaurants. "We are thrilled to return to the state where our daughter was born for the opportunity to serve the Ramsey community both inside and outside my restaurant," Cowan said in a news release. The restaurant is located at 726 Route 17. It will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sunday, per company policy. The restaurant's drive-thru can serve 150 vehicles per hour. It also offers an outdoor canopy to handle face-to-face ordering. There will also be two mobile ordering parking spots. The dining room seats 12, and the outside will have patio seating for 72 people. The first 100 people to camp out at the store were given a chance to receive free Chick-fil-A for a year. Each of the first 100 customers will receive a digital card preloaded with 52 Chick-fil-A No. 1 meals. (Click here for a list of official First 100 rules.) There are four other Chick-fil-As in Bergen County. They are located in: Englewood, Paramus at the Garden State Plaza and the Paramus Park Mall, and at Teterboro Landing in Teterboro.
