Description
I have a few different varieties of started hens. They're about 6 weeks old and no longer need brooding. They are all very calm, friendly breeds. They should start laying eggs when they are about 5 months old. Three of these varieties are excellent eggers, usually producing at least five eggs a week. The silkies however are more for pleasure than egg production.
The Silkies are younger than the others and I don't know yet if any of them are roosters. They will need to stay with me a little longer unless you have brooding equipment at home.
