I have 15+ years as a vocalist, and I have some stage experience. Growing up, I was always placed in chorus classes, and in even younger years worked with a vocal coach. As my interests in music grew, I ventured into extreme metal, and have spent many years as a death metal vocalist—my main inspirations were Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation and Jordan James Phillip of Disentomb. As time has gone on, I’ve started to lean back into my past, and find myself interested in exploring music in the vein of Black Sabbath, Motorhead, and even new acts like Ghost, Heavy Sentence, and Venator. While I still love extreme metal, which will always be an influence for me, I have a certain vision of misanthropy that requires a different sort of delivery. Think Ghost with a harder edge, and lyrics leaning more towards the themes of Cattle Decapitation. Dark, with speed, groove and atmosphere. That’s the rough outline of what I want to do moving forward, and I’m looking for others who want to create a similar soundscape. While I have rock influences, I want to create music that is mainly grounded in metal. I’m looking to create original material; I am not interested in covers (or ballads).
