RAMSEY, NJ — Several Ramsey School District administrators earn more than $150,000, information released by the New Jersey Department of Education shows. The administrators are among the 1,552 on the department's list of superintendents and principals and their salaries released annually. The local administrators, their salaries, years of service, and their rank on the list, are: Superintendents and assistant superintendents: 285. Matthew Murphy, 22 years, $178,183 663. Thomas O'Hern, 20 years, $157,377 Principals and assistant principals: 81. Molly Dinning, John Y. Dater Elementary School, 22 years, $177,168 94. Michael Thumm, Ramsey High School, 22 years, $175,911 595. Gina Aliano, Wesley D. Tisdale Elementary School, 16 years, $154,807 The list has grown recently. Last year, fewer than 1,000 principals and superintendents made $150,000 annually. More teachers are earning six-figure salaries, too. The increase was less than 1 percent above the previous year's median salary. The Department of Education has said the department double-checks the data before delivering it to the media.
