Who else wants to play guitar again? Im looking for a few people to play guitar with. If you would like to do the same so you can get better FAST and have FUN I hope that you will contact me. Here is why: I'm 50 and have started playing acoustic and electric guitar again after a very long break. ( What a mistake) I'm relearning everything and looking for another person (s) who wants to play guitar and maybe even sing too. Please dont think you are "too old" or not good enough to play guitar with me. I'm a student so Im not judging! I keep getting emails from people saying " Im a lot older than you is that ok?" I dont have a problem with anyones age. We are not forming a band to play at a prom. I just want our musical styles to jell. I play mostly acoustic these days but have an electric and a small amp too. I like a wide variety of music including: old rock, oldies, blues, country, classical latin, gypsy, hard rock, baroque, classical, folk, rag time, raggee, pretty much every style, except punk, heavy metal and rap ( when they named it they left off the "c" ) Right now I'm pretty much mastering the " cowboy chords" A, E, Em Am C, G, D, F man you can play a million songs with just those alone. Whats neat is that "Lean on me" and " Twistin the night away" are basically the same song. Here are just a few of the bands and styles I'd love to play with another player: Bob Seger, Rolling Stones, Skinnard, Sam Cooke, Buddy Holly, Mellencamp, Zac Brown Band, Jimmy Buffet, Beatles, Elvis, Stevie Ray Vaughan, GNR, Scorpions, All Motown, James Brown, The Who, Zeplin, Otmar Liebert, Mana, Mark Antone, James Taylor, Albert King Howlin Wolf, The Faces, Waylon, Willie, Merle, Mana, Santana Ok need I say more? Im also relearning how to sing. If it matters to you I dont smoke or use drugs and Im a normal working person with a regular 8 hour a day job ( darn that part). It seems like yesterday I was a youth and playing guitar in my room and dreaming of being a rock star and now Im 50 dusting off my guitar.
