BROOKFIELD, CT — One motorist was taken to the hospital Thursday morning following a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Federal and Candlewood Lake Roads. Members of Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and EMS were dispatched to the scene at around 11:15 a.m. First responders found two people pinned in one car, requiring hydraulic extraction. The whole operation took 45 minutes.
