Description

*News Release Submitted by The Brookfield Library* Join comedian and director Matt Austin (Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater, Sea Tea Comedy) as he brings together the area's best improvisers, Monica O'Brien, Rick Hodder, Desi Kelley, David Fritsch, Reesa Nestor, and our very own Teen Services Librarian, Abbey Lynch, for a night of 'Whose Line is it Anyway' style comedy based on the audience's suggestions on September 23rd at 7:00 pm. The audience will give suggestions for the improvisers in the comment section and the comedians will choose from that pool to act out a live scenario. "We are happy to present a 'Night Of A million Laughs' as a virtual program and excited to partner with the Easton Public Library" said Teen Services Librarian, Abbey Lynch. "Zoom comedy is a new format for us and it's been fun to play in this virtual space." "The COVID-19 pandemic has caused us to rethink how we offer Library programs to the public. Partnering with other libraries on a virtual platform allows us to offer more diverse programs. We're sharing our expertise in various content areas and it results in innovative programs like this one!" said Library Director, Yvonne Cech. Join us for a night full of laughs during this virtual program for ages 12 and up. Due to the spontaneous nature of this event parental guidance is suggested. This is a free program accessible from both the Brookfield Library and Easton Public Library's Facebook pages. Register on The Brookfield Library's website for a "Night Of A Million Laughs". The Brookfield Library is the municipal public library in the Town of Brookfield, CT. If you would like more information about this program, please contact Abbey Lynch, Teen Services Librarian, at (203) - 775- 6241, or email [email protected].
