Blooming Beds is looking for career minded people to join our team. As we continue to grow, we are looking for garden and landscape professionals to assist with serving our outdoor plant care clients. The work is a blend of general landscaping activities and detail-oriented gardening work. Our primary focus is maintaining our client’s flowerbeds, borders, gardens and other spaces where ornamental plants are the focus. Primary daily tasks include weeding/weed control, pruning, trimming, and shaping of herbaceous and woody ornamental plants. We also install and maintain planters, seasonal plantings, and outdoor decorations. There is some mowing, edging, blowing that is required. Our comprehensive maintenance service includes a Plant Heath Care (PHC) program that requires the use of pesticides and fertilizers on a regular basis. The pace of work is slower than that of a traditional landscape/lawn service operation but faster than typical gardening work. We also perform small and large plant installation projects throughout the season. The ideal candidate will have experience working outdoors ideally in the green industry in all weather conditions. The technician will have experience using the tools needed to complete the work or be willing to learn. These tools include but are not limited to powered equipment such as hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, edgers, line trimmers, augers, and hand tools such as secateurs, scissors, pruning saws, weeding tools, handheld, walk-behind, and body mounted spraying and spreading equipment. The candidate will be expected to keep pace with the team and complete tasks in a timely manner while delivering a high level of quality to each and every customer. Candidates must • enjoy working outdoors and be prepared to work in inclement weather • be in good physical condition and able to endure frequent bending, squatting, and repetitive motions • be able to work on elevated platforms such as step stools, ladders, and scaffolds for extended periods • maintain a good attitude while performing labor-intensive work such as heavy lifting and digging • maintain a good attitude while performing monotonous and repetitive work such as weeding and pruning • have good customer service skills • be willing to work long hours and weekends during the busy season • be able to lift and carry 60 pounds repeatedly • Have a clean driver’s license and background Why Choose Blooming Beds?
