Live original bluegrass under the stars! Nominated Best Bluegrass Band in the 3rd Annual Central Pennsylvania Music Awards, hard-driving bluegrass outfit Dead Horse Revival makes their Sky Stage Frederick debut in this lineup for an evening of traditional songs and originals that SOUND like traditionals. Led by Chance Hurley on guitar, Dead Horse Revival is a new configuration of musicians that have been playing together for years under various names, (including Mountain Ride), with the exception of new addition Katie Powderly on the bass. Corey Woodcock plays the five-string banjo both Scruggs-style and clawhammer. Scott Matlock plays the fiddle and sings. All of the band members are avid songwriters and contribute to the band's repertoire. In previous iterations, various members of Dead Horse Revival have performed at DelFest, Grey Fox, and have toured the country, performing live on NPR stations and PBS. The band plans for a 2022 release. Doors, 7:30pm. All-ages, under 12 free, beer/wine available for purchase with ID. Carry-in food OK, no byob. A limited number of seats will be available at the door. Note--Sky Stage is open-air, please dress for the weather. In event of rain, ticketholders will be notified of options via email.
