Princeton Wawa Closed After Employee Tests Positive For COVID

PRINCETON, NJ – Princeton Wawa closed their store on Wednesday after an employee tested positive for COVID-19, management confirmed. The store located on 152 Alexander Street is the only 24-hour convenience store in town. "In accordance with our protocols, we took immediate action and closed the store to have it professionally deep cleaned and disinfected," a representative of Wawa told Patch in a statement. The store said it will reopen as soon as possible "with associates from neighboring stores, if needed." The company is currently working with the local Department of Health to trace anyone who may have had close contact with the person who tested positive. The associate last worked at the store on Nov. 6. "As always, the health and safety of our customers and associates is a top priority. We will do everything we can to support our associates and take all necessary steps to monitor, safeguard and protect our associates and customers," the representative said. Thank you for reading.
