Great Expectation Music Program presents 1st Annual GALA

The Great Expectation is a 501c3 Outreach Ministry of New Creation Baptist Church, hosting our first 1st Annual fundraiser for our GEMS. The goal of the Great Expectations Music Program is to provide free music instruction and mentorship primarily for (but not limited to) youth who experience poverty and academic challenges in the city of Lorain and surrounding Lorain County. In September 2021, GEMS added an equipped community leader and 35 years of experience running a music program. In our existence, we continue to partner with Oberlin College Conservatory Music Students to assist and volunteer to equip our students through music. Together with skilled and trained instructors from Lorain county, provide piano instruction, drum instruction, vocal instructions, mentorship, and opportunities for cultural enrichment to the program participants. GEMS is in its sixth year of operation and has serviced over 50 children in the community. And while we have worked to address this need for the past six years, we recognize that this program will not reach its maximum effectiveness without the support of our entire community. With all, we are hosting our 1st Annual Musical Gala that will feature our students at Spectrum Vocational Center, 713 5th Street, on June 12th, 2022, from 4 PM - 7:00 PM. The proceeds will cover the cost of the event and further our GEMS program. The ticket price is $50.00.
