Camp Curly is a safe space to embrace, explore and empower our natural selves using Beauty to connect with STEAM About this Event Camp Curly is a 5 day experience for young girls to grow their confidence in their own hair maintenance, STEAM career and activity exploration while building their self esteem. Three age ranges: Bantu Knots 6-8 Afro Puffs 9-11 Frohawks 12-15 Camp day begins at 9AM-4PM (early drop off available on limited basis) Each day there are rotations and sessions highlighting how Hair, Beauty and STEAM are connected. Specific time to create and explore in two spaces: STEAM Lab Hair and Beauty Corner Campers receive a Curly Commandment Kit which includes: Tshirt, Detangle tool, Water Bottle, Hair Spray Bottle, and other items supporting their week of activities! A few activities include: Learning how hair porosity impacts the health of hair and what to do with products Identifying curl pattern Make flax seed hair gel Make hair refresher DNA extraction DIY Makeup Activities 2-5 Hair maintenance techniques ***Email [email protected] for discounts, scholarships and inquiries*** Parents of multiples should request discount code for $250 off each additional child.
