Join us at Angelica Village for a day of learning, work, lunch, and fellowship permaculture style.
Angelica Village is where people fleeing poverty and war can find a safe home. At 5205 Virginia in Lakewood, their new home awaits a garden. On April 9, from 9 am to 2 pm, we'll gather to help and celebrate the birth of this garden. We'll learn about soil from David Braden, leader of Living Systems Institute. We'll learn how to use a bunyip to contour the land and start building soil. We'll learn how to collect and harvest the water. Lunch basics will be provided and you are welcome to bring a dish to share, your own utensils and cup. Grow Local will have seeds and seedlings to swap and share. Attendance is free but your donation helps pay for instructors, gardening supplies, and needs of the residents. Angelica Village is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
