The Black Real Estate Roundtable is a place to network with diverse leaders in real estate investment management. You attend meetings to network. At NAREIM, we honor the investment of your time by ensuring our content is focused on helping you build personal relationships with peers, who are facing the same challenges and opportunities as you. Black Real Estate Roundtable is a NAREIM-wide employee resource group for Black professionals in real estate investment management. Black Real Estate Roundtable is the only networking experience of its kind for junior- and mid-level professionals, along with a selection of invited senior and executive officers from within NAREIM’s membership. Eligibility: Junior- to mid-level professionals: Attendance limited to no more than 2 employees per organization, subject to NAREIM approval. Senior and executive officers: Attendance is by invitation only.Attendance is limited to NAREIM members only and their guests. Covid vaccination and mask policy: As of 03.16.22, New York City does not require proof of vaccination for visitors to the Lotte New York Palace Hotel. Masks are optional in the public spaces of the hotel, and for the event. This notice will be updated as city and state regulations on vaccination change. 2022 Agenda From 5.30pm on April 28 at the Lotte New York Palace, members will enjoy cocktails, mocktails, a live culinary demonstration, dinner and interactive dialogues between real estate investment management leaders and rising stars. The networking is a critical component to NAREIM's Black Real Estate Roundtable on April 28 - where the focus will be on peer discussion and highly-interactive roundtable conversations. Thursday, April 28: 5.30pm Arrivals & Hors d’oeuvres 6pm Black Real Estate Roundtable Dialogues and Q&A: 4 speakers in 2 breakout rooms: 2 concurrent, closed-door keynotes feature Black real estate investment management professionals in candid conversation with their industry peers. Parallel yet distinct, these dialogues highlight personal and professional experiences, how to find mentors, and the challenges faced and lessons learned along the way.Confirmed speakers: Nailah Flake-Brown, Brookfield Asset Management; Reisa Bryan, Nuveen Real EstateNetworking Activity: groups of 3-4 in 2 breakout rooms: In groups of no more than 4 per table, each with a mix of senior and executive officers alongside junior- to mid-level professionals, we will tackle 1-2 strategic challenges and brainstorm solutions for you to implement within your organizations, and across your networks.
