Come meet Seohyun Lee, a North Korean defector from an elite family, who will share her story and perspective of human rights and advocacy. The UCLA and USC Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) teams would like to cordially invite you to our hybrid event, LiNK Up Socal 2022. It will be held on Wednesday, 4/13/22 @5pm PT. Our main speaker is Seohyun Lee, a North Korean defector coming from an elite family, and currently based on Washington DC. We will also host a panel including representatives from LiNK USC, UCLA, HQ, AKU, Aurora NK, Pyonghattan (Seohyun) and others to discus ways in which you can help North Korean refugees! Panelists will introduce themselves and share their past work with everyone. We will also answer questions from the audience, discuss the impacts of COVID on NK refugee’s journeys, human trafficking, and much more. In addition, for those attending in person we are also having a fun hands-on interactive workshop. There will be different activities at each booth and we are giving away prizes for winners.
