PRINCETON, NJ — After being forced to go virtual due to COVID-19, finalists of the Princeton Festival's youth piano competition will perform in a video concert on Sep. 26, at 6 p.m.
The winners will be announced at the end of the concert.
This year, the competition drew entries from young pianists in the US, the UK, Canada, Colombia, Indonesia, Serbia, India, Brazil, Austria, Taiwan, and China.
Entrants were required to show their skill by playing Bach, Haydn, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. Finalists and winners will play this music in the video concert.
This is the festival's first virtual competition. The video concert will last around two hours. Tickets are priced at $10 each. The stream will be available to ticket holders until Sep.27 at 10 p.m.
