Description

PRINCETON, NJ – Princeton will be celebrating Car Free Week beginning Sep. 21-27. The Greater Mercer Transport Management Association and the township has asked residents to pledge to go car free, and adopt other means of transportation for one day of the week. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Town officials are encouraging residents to commute by bike, bus, train, carpool, walk or even telework for a day. Similar campaigns are celebrated in other states — New York state too has launched the 'Car Free for Climate' campaign, which begins this week. Those who use public transport are encouraged to maintain social distancing, wear masks, carry hand sanitizers and follow all COVID-19 protocols. Participants who pledge to go car free for a day, can register and enter to win a host of prizes. It's open to all New Jersey Residents. Click here to register: http://p1.pagewiz.net/CarFree/
