Jesters' Jubilee (presented by Tavern at the Crossroads) is a dinner and drink event in a medieval setting. There is no purchase necessary to attend; however, to help cover the costs of the event, we ask each attendee for a minimum donation of $20. Anything extra helps us grow and offer more things in the future! When you attend, here is the minimum of what you'll receive: A selection of homebrewed ales on tap! Each crafted specifically for this event.Fresh and home-baked focaccia and sourdough (fresh means baked the very morning of the event) to accompany appetizers of cheese and fresh fruits.A hearty helping of our main course, Jambalaya. This is also freshly prepared the day of the event. Still hungry? You can always be like a hobbit, and come back for seconds!Games to play with other guests of the tavern.Live music from our bards - The Unquiet Grave.Medieval tavern ambience provided by rustic, hewn tables, drinking horns, lanterns, and more!Local handmade soaps, incense, spices, and more crafts for saleAnd a few tavern secrets here and there. Maybe you'll uncover one?Note: Please select to attend only one of the Jesters' Jubilee events so that more people have a chance to attend. We can only accept: Cash, PayPal, or Venmo. FAQ: What is your Covid-19 policy? Will there be social distancing? Will masks be required? Short answer: No. These items will not be enforced. Long answer: The purpose of the Tavern is that it is a community event. It's a chance to meet and talk with new people - strangers. The goal is to encourage people to meet, talk, play, and enjoy each other's company in the shared setting of a Medieval-like Tavern. We hope to capture the feel of those Taverns that you read of in books and watch on film. This community feel is just impossible unless we have people sitting at shared tables - in each other's company. All guests will be seated at shared tables. If you still wish to wear a mask, you are more than welcome to do so, but please understand that the Tavern operators will not be wearing masks and many guests may not wear them either. Do I need to dress up? No. But it's always more fun when you do. In the past, about 50% of people wear "normal" clothing. However, if you dress up we'll likely toss a few extra coins your way. Yes.   Where are you located? Our tavern is located outdoors on a residential property in Hayward, CA. The event is well decorated to capture the tavern feel. The location helps us keep costs down.
