Dog Bather ABOUT THE POSITION: Are you burned out working at one of the “big box” grooming shops or pet stores? Imagine working on a team of like-minded dog lovers whose focus is overall health and wellness of the dogs, not only “fancy” haircuts! WHO WE ARE: Scenthound is a membership-based dog grooming business. Our mission is to help dog parents maintain clean, healthy dogs. We keep things simple by only offering a one-length-all-over haircut, while the dog parent can choose the length they want. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are searching for a detail-oriented team member who has a passion for keeping dogs clean and healthy! A successful Dog Bather is resilient, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a compassionate dog lover. We are looking for a motivated team member who wants to advance their career through our training path to become a Scenthound Groomer. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Strength to lift up to 70 pounds - Stamina to stand for long periods of time - Reliable transportation - Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Clean and/or prep dogs for grooming - Bathe, blow dry, clip/ grind nails, clean ears, brush coat, clean teeth, express glands - Identify dog’s health indicators and input them into a S.C.E.N.T. Check app - Work on a team to complete the services ordered - Assist others/ask for assistance when needed to keep the “Scenter” on schedule - Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times - Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
