Come learn about the local, non-native, and medicinal plants of the Santa Monica Mountains! For the first part of a four part series, our journey will begin in North Malibu at the top of a coastal bluff overlooking the pacific ocean. We will focus on the coastal chaparral plants endemic to the Santa Monica Mountains while including some non-natives that are just near impossible to not talk about! On this plant ID hike you can expect to come away with the ability to identify many coastal chaparral plants and familiarize yourself with potential medicinal uses as well!
