Description
PRINCETON, NJ — As coronavirus ravaged through the state in March, leaving communities unemployed and food insecure, many Princetonians came together to help those in need.
Princeton Mutual Aid (PMA) was born of this collective care and since the beginning of the pandemic, has worked hard at helping neighbors overcome hardships brought on by COVID. The group is made up of people living in the community - neighbors, classmates, coworkers, friends, family.
PMA provides families with direct assistance to housing and food.
With COVID cases still on the rise, PMA has requested the larger Princeton community to come forward to support their work.
To this end, the group is organizing an online fundraising auction. Items in the auction include a signed limited edition of Barack Obama's 'A Promised Land', a signed copy of Milind Kundera's 'Immortality' and some vintage wines. There are also unique art and design pieces on auction.
All proceeds from the auction go directly to PMA services. And individuals within the Princeton area will directly benefit from the bids.
