Press release from the Denton County Government: April 8, 2022 For the week of Saturday, April 2, through Friday, April 8, Denton County Public Health (DCPH) confirmed 252 new cases of COVID-19, 1,534 recoveries, and 10 COVID-19 deaths, resulting in 1,279 fewer active cases. Denton County remains at a low COVID-19 community level, based on new COVID-19 hospital admissions, existing inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients, and new COVID-19 case rates in Denton County, with data available at dentoncounty.gov/COVIDstats. DCPH also provides daily COVID-19 updates, including detailed data for cases, recoveries, and jurisdictions online. COVID-19 deaths can be reported several days to several months after the date of death, due to various reporting agencies and medical records review.
