AUSTIN, TX — Multiple people were hospitalized Friday night after a car plowed into a crowd standing near a food truck in Austin, according to reports. The crash happened just before 8:20 p.m. near 1800 Barton Springs, Austin-Travis County EMS confirmed in a tweet. Officials said the car hit several pedestrians before crashing into the food truck. Two victims suffered potentially life-threatening injuries while two others sustained "potentially serious" injuries, Capt. Christa Stedman of Austin-Travis County EMS told CNN. Nine victims were hospitalized. Two others refused medical treatment, Stedman told CNN. The crash remains under investigation.
