Beginning on Monday, April 11, 2022, the westbound lane of East 26th Street between Sherman Avenue and 10th Avenue will be closed to allow crews to perform concrete joint repair, partial depth concrete repair, and curb & gutter repair. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained in the eastbound and center turn lanes.
In the upcoming weeks, the location of the lane closures on East 26th Street will vary between Sherman Avenue and 10th Avenue. At a minimum, one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times. Access to businesses will be maintained.
This work is anticipated to be complete in late April 2022.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
