Senior looking for a senior

I am looking for a small dog for my elderly Dad. He is widowed and recently had to put down his miniature schnauzer. He misses the companionship, still gets her blanket ready every night at the foot of his bed. Would prefer under 20 lbs. no preference for male or female. Middle aged to senior. Has to be a friendly dog. We have tried the shelters but all are BIG dogs. If you could help in our search please email me.
