My name's Derek. I'm a 28 year old male vocalist looking to start an original band. I'm seeking guitarist, bassists, drummers, and keyboardists. My goal is to put together a set's worth of material and start gigging ASAP. I'm very eager to break into the music scene, meet interesting people, perform great shows, and make lasting memories. Let's inspire each other and see where it takes us. My writing is mostly influenced by indie/alt/prog rock. Over the past 3 years I've been practicing seriously as a vocalist. I still have a lot of growth ahead of me, but I think you'll find in my demos that I have a solid foundation and that I'm willing to spend the time necessary to grow. I have experience as a paid musician: I've gigged and recorded as a drummer since I was a kid, nothing too serious, but there are recordings of my drumming on streaming platforms which I can share if you're interested.
