HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — An Aberdeen man was charged with possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana after officers said they saw him acting suspiciously in Susquehanna State Park once it closed. They searched his vehicle and found 174 grams of marijuana and a digital scale inside, according to authorities. The 25-year-old, who lives in the 600 block of Holly Circle in Aberdeen, faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, Maryland Natural Resources Police reported Thursday. Officials said they saw a vehicle parked in Susquehanna State Park Aug. 17 and a man "acting suspiciously and fumbling in a book bag," who "admitted that he was trying to hide marijuana in a child safety set next to him." Authorities said the Natural Resources Police and Maryland Park Service will continue to work to ensure state parks provide "a safe, family-oriented outdoor recreation experience for all."
