I am a 26 y/o male singer and acoustic guitarist. I can also play ukulele and some basic bass, keys, and percussion. Genres are mainly folk, reggae, singer-songwriter, and occasionally jazz, rock, and even orchestral/choir. Major influences include Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Dispatch, Sublime, The Avett Brothers, along with jam bands, jazz, and new-age hippie type stuff (Nahko, Satsang, Xavier Rudd, Rising Appalachia, etc.) The general mood is uplifting, poetic, inspiring, yet occasionally dark and mysterious. If you’d like a taste of what to expect, look up "Julian and the Tree Climbers" wherever you stream music. Experienced players are highly preferred. Being a vocalist who can harmonize is a bonus. Good hangs and personalities are preferred over talent. My intentions are rooted in hanging out and jamming together as a group, either doing improv jamming or working on written material, while also occasionally performing in the public eye. The main goal is to have fun, enjoy each other’s company, express ourselves, eventually record some music, and generally socialize and perform in the local music scene. I’m hoping to get together at least once a week on a regular basis. Having a set house/studio for hosting would be necessary as well – I’m living in an apartment with roommates and cannot accommodate a full band practice in my living quarters.
