BBQ Pitmaster Looking For Partner or Assistant - Details Enclosed

Description
Hi, I have a Lang 84 Competition Smoker that I bought approximately 7 years ago to use as a marketing tool for a BBQ Rub & Sauce company that I had recently trademarked. Unfortunately I never got the intended project off the ground and so the smoker never had a chance to serve the purpose for which I bought it. For various reasons that I'll just call "life", for now, I've found myself in a position where I'm looking for something to do... let's call it a new direction. Since I have this $8,000 smoker, and since I love to use it, I thought perhaps I would try to do something with it... something that it was actually made for... like smoking a lot of meat! I'm in the process of putting together a crowdfunding campaign for the purpose of opening up a pilot location for a BBQ franchise model I've put together. I can't think of a better way to create awareness for the brand, while at the same time meeting and bringing in supporters to fund the campaign, than to host events with local businesses... sportsbars, churches, resorts, master planned communities, etc. - even corporations or large local businesses looking to do employee or customer appreciation events would be great potential clients. I'm still working on the details regarding the smartest way to proposition these potential "BBQ Event Holders", but, I have a few ideas I believe will work. Here's where "you" come in. 1) I don't have a truck so I am hoping to find a potential partner (see below) or assistant (see below) that does. 2) "PARTNER LEVEL": Anyone reading this, who may be considering the possibilities on a serious level - particularly where the "partner" element is concerned - should be thinking about their ability and willingness to help me develop our target client / "Event Holder" list. A "Partner" level individual should also be considering how they might be a value add to everything that we'll be trying to accomplish... both in the short and long term. Depending on "your" level of commitment to the efforts, I would be agreeable to a 70% - 30% split with on net profits from each event. Obviously there is much more to discuss at this level and I am open to any suggestions or thoughts in this regard. If you are an entrepreneurial type and would like to be involved in whatever may come down the road, again, I am open to all manners of discussion. "ASSISTANT LEVEL": As an assistant, your primary tasks would be to help me facilitate setting up for an "event" (pretty simple stuff -i.e. canopy, portable hand washing station, wood for the smoker, etc.), help with loading and unloading various types of meat, and then packing up when the event is over. The event days will be long - probably 15 hours or so - because it take at least 10 hours just to smoke pork butts; 12+ hours for brisket! I would be agreeable to $15 an hour (75% of the time there is nothing to do except stare at the smoker and hang out!), plus a nice bonus on the size of the deal. If any of this sounds like something you would like to discuss, please let me know. The Crowdfunding aspect of the website will be finished by April 15th, so, I will be wanting to hit the client prospecting pretty hard immediately after. Thank you for reading! Jim
