Are you ever frustrated by not finding the perfect yarn for your fiber project? When you learn to make your own, you can create the perfect yarns! This class will teach the beginning spinner how to spin yarn from prepared woolen fibers, covering the basics of staple, micron count, drafting, twist, and ergonomics. By the end of this class, you should have a singles yarn ready to use! Focusing on drop spindles, but feel free to BYOSD - Bring Your Own Spinning Device! (Spinning wheels, supported & kick spindles, etc) Standard 2 hour class: $80, includes beginner spinning kit with 3 kinds of wool and a reversible top whorl/low whorl drop spindle. $60 without kit.
